This page is under construction but will include information about our Stewardship. We will talk about the state of our finances and budget as well as the various ministries and missions of our Church and parishioners.

Stay tuned... and if you have information that you would like considered for this page, please contact Jill Englund Jensen at je_jensen@comcast.net

Budget opportunities

Everyone has noticed that one of the steps taken to balance the budget this year has been to print a shorter version of the Sunday bulletin in black and white. This saves us 50% of the cost of the color one. Although there have been requests to return to the color bulletin with the lectionary, we don't have the funds. However, we have come up with a suggestion that may make everyone happy.

There is now the opportunity to "sponsor" bulletins. For $55 a month (4 Sundays- add $13.75 for a month with a 5th Sunday) you can sponsor the color bulletin and have your name printed on it (or remain anonymous) as the generous sponsor for that month. We have to find new ways to make the budget work and hope that you will consider this as a way of giving to your Church. Contact the office for more information: 302-478-9533

Are you an "E" person?

There is email, e-filing of your Tax Return, and now..... E pledge payments.

Did you know that you can have your financial institution make automatic payments from your account to pay your pledge at Grace?

One of the things that we can do to keep Grace Church running smoothly is to offer our financial gifts regularly throughout the year. Whether I am on vacation or just too busy to write a check, the financial obligations of the Church to pay salaries, electric, water continue day to day. A way for us to be helpful is to pay our pledges on time.

And I have been one of the worst at being consistent. I miss a Sunday, I can't find a check book, I can't remember whether I paid this month. I finally learned that my bank will write checks directly from my account to Grace Church- either as an automatic recurring payment or when I give them instructions to do so. Now my pledge is automatically received at the Church office once a month and credited to my giving record. It is easier for me and Grace receives the money they need to continue their ministry in an appropriate way.

If this sounds like an interesting possibility for you, contact your bank or financial institution, either on line or in person and ask for help setting up your payment. It's easy, safe, and helps the Church.

Now if I can just figure out what to do when the plate comes my way on Sundays- perhaps I'll just smile and say "It's in the email."
